NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$88,600 - $172,300
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a motivated Engineering & Systems Integration Implementation Professional to be legal subject matter expert in sanctions implementation initiatives to include regulatory and legal reviews for maritime, sectorial and countering illicit cyber activities.
Work with Sandia staff on interdisciplinary projects that involve applying integrated technical judgment,
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Review documents, information and work with international partners on standard processes for sanctions compliance within applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct analyses for national and regional security programs.
Conduct gap analysis to discover new project needs, support efforts to develop training materials for funded projects, and conduct research and analysis on countries and strategic commodities of programmatic interest.
Apply analysis of international regulatory affairs, principles of foreign relations, and scientific and engineering principles in analysis of advanced concepts and technologies for nonproliferation, nuclear security, and international export control regimes.
Ability to travel internationally in support of programs
The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's degree in Law or relevant field, plus five (5) or more years of directly related experience; Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience practicing law as a licensed attorney.
Experience with the following:
International legal & regulatory frameworks and/or due diligence mechanisms.
Proliferation finance and/or sanctions evasion.
Working in/with international multilateral organizations.
Ability to obtain and maintain DOE Q-level security clearance.

The mission of Global Security Research and Analysis department is to develop creative science and technology solutions to address US national security concerns created by international and regional challenges.
