On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Identify and develop new customers and retain existing customers in Sandia's Energy and Homeland Security Portfolio spanning missions related to cyber security and nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction (e.g. chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear defense)
  • Identify and evaluate mission opportunities for further engagement, develop technical value propositions, R&D roadmaps, and support execution of engagement and capture plans
  • Foster a healthy working relationship with internal/external stakeholders to enhance collaboration and build programmatic efficiencies
  • Perform marketing research and analysis to identify and communicate key market factors, national trends, and competitive landscape that will optimize programmatic or partnership decisions
  • Develop and translate technical jargon into the “so what” for national security mission applications in a creative and strategic manner
  • Lead technology transfer initiatives that benefit Sandia’s mission and realize national deployment

Required:

  • Requires bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience; or master's degree in relevant discipline plus two or more years of experience; or doctorate in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired:

  • Prior experience in a high tech and/or government setting (e.g. DOE, DHS, DHHS, DoD, NIH, etc.)
  • Experience with business development related to nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction (e.g. chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear defense) or cyber security sectors
  • Excellent market research and analysis skills

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
