Sandia National Laboratories Information Enterprise System Technologist (Mid-Career/Experienced) in Livermore, California

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking an Information Enterprise Systems Technologist to join our Mission Computing Solutions Department.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Provide customer support for cybersecurity issues and questions

  • Support IT issues related of diskless, disk full, and virtual computers on classified and unclassified networks

  • Contribute to the development of cybersecurity plans to ensure systems are operating securely with required controls

  • Under general guidance from fellow engineers or architects, implement and support the delivery of IT solutions with a focus on cybersecurity requirements

  • Independently pursue answers and solutions by partnering with technical and cyber SMEs

  • Communicate effectively to customers at all levels regarding progress and status of requests

Qualifications We Require:

  • High school diploma plus five or more years of relevant experience; or equivalent experience

  • Experience with Windows desktop systems administration and troubleshooting tasks such as: disk full imaging, system setup, account management, backup/restore, network printers, application installation and management, and peripheral installations

  • Experience with hardware and software support

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to work with all levels of staff

  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of cybersecurity controls for Windows and Mac environments

  • Experience developing and maintaining cybersecurity plans to ensure systems are operating securely

  • Demonstrated experience clarifying cybersecurity policies and procedures to all levels of staff

  • Experience working in a federal cybersecurity environments

  • Knowledge of cyber standards such as NIST, ISO, STIGS, etc.

  • Active DOE Q or DOD TS security clearance

Security Clearance:
