We are seeking a Subcontract Manager to support a specific technology development program.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and administration of supplier contracts from placement through final closeout.

  • Draft acquisition schedules, requests for quotations, requests for information, and resulting contract documents with the goal of meeting the needs of customers, aligning the interests of all parties, appropriately managing and allocating risk, obtaining the best value, and ensuring compliance with all business and legal requirements.

  • Review proposals for acceptability; analyze pricing and total cost of ownership; determine appropriate profit, fees, incentives, best value, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing on behalf of Sandia.

  • Work closely with members of Sandia’s scientific, engineering, supply, legal, and financial communities to identify opportunities and challenges that can or should be addressed through the acquisition process.

  • Manage supplier performance, interactions, communications, and relationships.

  • Lead and document complex source selection decisions.

Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel of managers and staff. Subsequently, successful applicants may also be provided to managers for placement in positions across the center.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline; or equivalent:

  • experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the job.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a required US DOE L-level security clearance.
