What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking a motivated electronics/research engineer to lead cutting-edge research in advanced microelectronics and integrated circuits for radiation hardening and hardness assurance for national-security missions. Every day, you will have exciting opportunities to team with other leading radiation effects engineers and scientists.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Innovate effective semiconductor technologies for assuring the radiation hardness of advanced microelectronic integrated circuits.
Discover and characterize the physics of radiation effects in advanced microelectronics.
Create transistor and circuit models and designs to improve the radiation performance of integrated circuits.
Publish research results in journal articles and present at conferences.
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range:
$109,300 - $217,400
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:
PhD in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related STEM field
Knowledge of radiation effects, radiation testing, radiation hardening, or hardness assurance in microelectronics as evidenced by publications, patents, or conference presentations
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
Knowledge of semiconductor transistor theory of operation, integrated circuit design, semiconductor manufacturing, and the modeling tools normally used in Device Physics/Device Characterization, custom and analog circuit schematic capture, layout, and simulation.

About Our Team:
The Advanced Microsystems Radiation Effects and Analysis team develops, integrates, characterizes, and assures the radiation hardness, reliability, and wafer-level electrical performance of advanced microsystems technologies for the nation’s nuclear deterrence mission.
Posting Duration:
