A Senior Manager is needed to lead the Post Fab Technologies Group in providing research, development, and production services for packaged microelectronics. These technologies are critical to ensuring the qualification and delivery of high reliability MESA products suitable for use in hostile environments. Maintaining a deep technical understanding of these products and technologies is a key enabler of our mission success.On any given day, you may be called on to:
Lead and oversee the technical proficiencies, personnel, and infrastructure that provide research, development, and manufacturing capabilities in support of MESA’s microelectronics production capability.
Lead the close technical and programmatic relationship with Sandia Production (Center 2500).
Lead the technical and programmatic communications and collaborate with NNSA federal program managers and the US Navy and US Air Force sponsors.
Manage critical product delivery efforts in multiple Sandia mission areas, including War Reserve (WR) product for nuclear weapons.
Travel as required to support ongoing projects.
Requires an advanced degree in physical science, engineering or a closely related STEM field or equivalent experience.
Ten or more years of relevant experience, including five or more years of managerial experience.
Experience delivering WR product to the nuclear deterrence community.
Experience in an ND production environment.
Experience in project and capability management.
Active DOE or DOD secret clearance to start.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance.

Org. 5231, Product Engineering: The Product Engineering department provides product development, pre-production, and production expertise and oversight for the testing, qualification, and delivery of high reliability MESA products suitable for use in hostile environments.
Org. 5232, Adv Packaging/Integration: The Advanced Packaging/Integration department is responsible for microelectronics integration design and development activities with applications spanning microelectronics, MEMS, photonic systems, and RFICs.
Org. 5233, Defect Prevention / Reliability: The Defect Prevention / Reliability department uses a layered defect prevention strategy and Lean Six Sigma methodology to support the design, development, and qualification of high reliability microelectronics and microsystems for nuclear weapons and other national security applications.
Org. 5234, Computer Integrated Manufacturing: The embedded Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) department applies their advanced manufacturing knowledge and computer information capabilities to enable MESA’s mission of research, development, and production of microsystem products for national security customers.
Org. 5235, Microelectronic Packaging: The Microelectronics Packaging department provides process development and production services for ceramic packaging and plastic ball grid array packaging for HBTs and ASICs for national security applications.
Org. 5236, Post-Fab Logistics: The Logistics group provides PRT leadership and centralized planning, scheduling, inventory, supply chain management and production control for the Post-Fab Technologies organization.

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
