Salary Range:

$86,300 - $166,800

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

The Integrated Software Solutions Department is seeking a highly motivated R&D S&E, Computer Science to join our diverse technical team! We are experts in software development for advanced radar systems, continuous integration for national security systems, and testing for space mission applications. We provide flexible approaches to product definition, realization, and testing to achieve quality software.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Develop in C/C++ or Java to add new features

  • Generate automated tests to verify existing software functionality.

  • Participate in design and testing of specialized software in simulated and real environments.

  • Deliver technology solutions across the spectrum of mission area.

  • Propose and participate in internal research and development efforts.

  • Team with a diverse group across varied disciplines to support data processing, analysis and testing.

  • Communicate effectively via both verbal and written means with internal and external customers to understand their technical needs.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant STEM field plus 3 years of relevant experience;

  • or Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant STEM field.

  • Experience in C/C++, Java, or Python.

  • Abiility to obtain and maintain DOE Q-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience in developing automated tests

  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems

  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic interdisciplinary team environment

  • Experience using version control systems such as Git or Team Forge.

  • Proven verbal and written communication skill.

  • Current DOE Q clearance

Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
