We are seeking a Product Acceptance Inspection Technologist to join our team, supporting technical quality assurance engineering for product realization organizations and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)!
On any given day, your responsibilities will be to:
Work with engineering staff/managers to develop and implement technical assurance requirements, procedures, and controls.
Provide mentorship on specifications, processes, and regulatory agency requirements.
Establish and execute technical assurance inspections before, during, and after systems (policy and components) are processed or installed.
Monitor technical work practices of engineering staff and ensures that corrective actions and exceptions are appropriate, have technical justification and are implemented effectively.
Make significant technical decisions having to do with product and component delivery to the ultimate customer.
Associate’s degree in relevant STEM field, or 4 years equivalent relevant experience
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE "Q" Level clearance
Research, design, and/or manufacturing experience
Preparation, review, and presentation of test and measurement result
Frequent use and application of industry/Sandia technical standards, Interpreting Sandia Realized Product Procedures (RPP’s), and NNSA policies
Performing technical assessments for products and processes
Machining and mechanical assembly practices
Quality and Assurance principles
NW complex product acceptance/inspection processes or equivalent
