NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

Salary Range:

$65,300 - $125,400 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate¿s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a highly motivated Tactical Planner to be oversee and administer a designated facilities or space portfolio or supporting a facilities program area. You will perform near-term site, energy, condition, space and infrastructure planning studies. You will process customer space, building, infrastructure and siting requests and formulate ideas and alternatives for customer and corporate investment recommendations. On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Work as a key contributor to the Minor Modifications team. This team provides project like work to all areas of the lab. Knowledge of facilities, maintenance and project execution is crucial in this role.

• Prepare tactical studies, projections, and reports for customer facility and space needs, corporate capital investments, and site development.

• Provide appropriate and prudent planning review of all site development ideas, alternatives, and selections.

• Communicate tactical study methodologies, analyses, and recommendations to customers, partnership management, and the strategic planners.

• Update information database systems and related information technology applications; maintain reports and metrics.

• Understand all pertinent building/facility systems to ensure they will meet customer needs and expectations.

• Integrate customer requests, site constraints, and regulatory compliance requirements in the formulation of customer recommendations.

  Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field related to facilities or construction, plus five (5) or more years of relevant experience in a facilities related trade (electrical, mechanical, structural, fire protection, etc); or a Master's degree in a relevant field related to facilities or construction, plus one (1) year of previously mentioned relevant experience; or an Associate's degree in a relevant field plus nine (9) years of previously mentioned relevant experience; or a High-school diploma and 13 years of exempt level, relevant experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain and active DOE L-level security clearance.

About Our Team:

Department 4743, Structural Services, provides preventive and corrective maintenance on all administrative locks, painting, building structural systems and equipment, pedestrian pathways, fences, gates, parking lots, roadways--both improved (asphalt and concrete) and unimproved, water deliveries to water storage tanks, cranes and hoists, and landscape areas. The department also provides excavation and emergency support to Sandia National Laboratories when requested by the Incident Commander.

Security Clearance:
