NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range:

$101,400 - $172,300

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Manager for the Supply Chain Risk Management & Supplier Diversity department.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of both Supplier Relations/Small Business and Supply Chain Analyst/Risk Mgt. staff

  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Prime Contracts, Environmental Safety & Health, and other programs across the Labs

  • Some travel is required

  • Supplier Diversity/Small Business

  • Be the “Face” of Sandia’s Supply Chain / Small Business Program

  • Speak at local and national conferences and other public forums

  • Interact with various Chambers of Commerce and other public officials

  • Interact with executive management across the Labs

  • Coordinate, attend, and speak at supplier Outreach events

  • Partner with Procurement and Division Small Business Steering Committees to ensure the Labs meets its Small Business Goals (prime contract requirement)

  • Interface with Sandia Field Office (SFO), DOE Office of Small Disadvantage Business Utilization (OSDBU), Small Business Administration (SBA), and other external stakeholders

  • Manage/maintain Small Business procurement policies

  • Manage the Mentor Protégé Program (MPP) (prime contract requirement)

  • Oversee the development and production of the annual Economic Impact Brochure

  • Manage the Business Opportunities Website

  • Interact with current and potential suppliers in various venues

  • Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM)

  • Partner with Procurement, Technical Line, and others to identify, evaluate, and manage supply chain and supplier risks

  • Manage the Suspect/ Counterfeit Program

  • Monitor Subcontractor performance

  • Manage the Quality-Level Program

  • Oversee Subcontractor Risk Assessments

  • Monitor and report Supply Chain Disruptions

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline plus eight or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Master’s degree in relavent discipline

  • Experience leading cross-functional and process improvement teams

  • Experience working in a supply chain function

  • Experience with public speaking or speaking in front of large audiences

  • Experience with risk identification and mitigation techniques

  • Experience working with Prime Contract requirements

  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations and agency acquisition regulations

  • Experience working with Contracting Officers or other external oversight personnel

  • Two or more years of demonstrated leadership experience

  • Exhibit interpersonal skills needed to teach, instruct and advise; to plan and coordinate projects; and to facilitate meetings and negotiations

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions

The Supply Chain Risk Management and Supplier Diversity Department identifies, evaluates, and manages supply-chain and supplier risks; partners cross-functionally to evaluate contract performance, supplier quality, and suspect/counterfeit parts; and manages Sandia’s supplier diversity and small business utilization programs.

Security Clearance:
