Intern - Enterprise Service Management - Technical Undergraduate Year Round

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Year Round - Technical Undergraduate Intern to join our dynamic team!

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Implement collaborative expertise to design, deploy, operate, maintain, and solve Splunk and RHEL problems.

• Work with SNL Corporate networks, remote SNL and business partner networks, and emerging purpose-built enclaves.

• Partner with Cyber Security and other IT teams to architect and engineer custom Splunk applications.

• Troubleshoot and identify Linux operating system and Splunk application issues and service impacts.

• Work on Automation, Software Development and Scripting, Coding and Programming.

• Automate manual workflows.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Qualifications We Require:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in a related accredited undergraduate program

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0

• Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer

• U.S. citizenship

Qualifications We Desire:

• Work with senior staff to learn about designing, documenting, implementing, troubleshooting and managing enterprise Information Technology infrastructures

• Knowledge and experience programming in one or more computer science languages (preferably Python and/or Ansible)

• Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise and Linux

• Understanding of automation

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-Clearance

We provide enterprise service management services to Sandia, including enterprise logging services, IT service management, IT operations management, and 24x7 monitoring in the system operations center (SOC). Security Clearance:
