If so, we invite you to explore this new and exciting opportunity within Sandia’s Information Technology Services Department. Our team is proactively seeking a motivated and experienced Information Systems Engineering Service Manager.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Provide leadership and tactical planning and execution of processes and projects required to deliver services for Daily Operations and Field Support Teams in support of High Side Operations.
Estimate cost and schedule for improvement projects to ensure they are completed timely, within budget and scope.
Proactively manage changes in service scope using change management, identifying potential issues, and leading efforts to devise contingency plans, as necessary to sustain service delivery.
Identify potential service or project risks and responds by developing risk mitigation strategies, corrective actions, risk acceptance recommendations or avoidance for all aspects of the service or project.
Develop and deliver status reports, service metrics and decision documents, and presentations for services and projects.
Identify efficiencies and conduct lessons learned for process improvement.
Effectively addresses service and project concerns with management.
Due to the nature of the work, this candidate must be able to work onsite.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or relevant discipline plus five (5) years of experience or equivalent, (AS + 9 or no degree + 13).
5 years experience Leading IT teams or projects.
Demonstrated knowledge of IT Service Desk and Field Support activities.
Active DOE Q level security clearance; with the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance typically which typically requires a polygraph.
Qualifications We Desire:
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
ITIL Foundation certification.
Lean Certification.
High-level knowledge of Computer Management Solutions, IT Cyber Policies.
Experience developing reports and metrics.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
About Our Team:
The Field Intelligence Element (FIE) performs high-impact, national security work for a broad segment of the Intelligence Community (IC). As part of the FIE Operations team, the Information Technology Services Department, 05196 enables the reliable and timely delivery of secure IT products and services to satisfy the unique requirements of High Side Operations. Our IT services include Daily Operations Remote Support, Deskside Field Support and Special Operations support for Mission Customers. The scope of the work for 05196 expands across cybersecurity, system access, desktop administration, systems administration and hardware/software support.
Posting Duration:

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD). Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance.
