NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$88,600 - $146,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an Information Systems Engineering Project Manager to provide operational and technical support for the delivery of a set of key strategic efforts to enable the successes of the Cyber Security program at Sandia. On any given day, you may be called on to:
Lead teams in the delivery of services and provide operational mentorship
Learn new technologies, concepts, and processes while maintaining communications with all the organization’s customers and partners
Represent the organization in center-wide and corporate-wide IT initiatives
Participate in planning/operations meetings across diverse fields
Document plans and controls to understand all the ongoing work in the department
Collaborate with various teams in department with critical data and information
This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus five (5) years' experience, or Master's degree in relevant field plus one (1) year experience, or thirteen (13) years' experience
Experience with leading teams in an IT environment
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
Project Management or IT certification
Experience in project management or leadership of software development teams from conception through deployment
Experience with project management tools/methodologies (e.g, Kanban, Agile, Extreme Programming)
Knowledge of emergent IT technologies and industry trends
Good communication, team-building, and conflict-resolutions skills
Active DoE clearance

Mission Computing Services (MCS) provides tailored IT services and support to Sandia mission organizations and customers. MCS also delivers system administration and IT support for classified desktop systems and all Linux/UNIX operation systems. MCS partners with other corporate IT providers in the delivery of its services and is engaged in technology development efforts for the Sandia Classified Network (SCN), UNIX/LINUX, and thin/virtual computing.
