NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range:

$101,400 - $172,300

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

Our team is seeking a highly motivated and independently working Information System Engineering Project Manager with experience working on highly visible projects to support our top public cloud teams! As a leader in mature cloud technologies, Sandia supports a variety of large and high-impact projects for the labs and DOE Complex.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Develop project plans

  • Manage work intake, scope customer requirements, schedules, and customer relations

  • Develop and maintain associated documentation (including Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements)

  • Coordinate resources and customer communications

  • Motivate teams in best practices/processes

  • Lead improvement initiatives across the organization and grow partnerships among other customers

  • Provide metrics/reporting

    This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field plus five (5) years' experience; or an Associate's degree in a related field plus nine (9) years' experience; or thirteen (13) years' experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • Experience in Cloud Computing and/or Application Development

  • Experience using Agile practices/methodologies e.g. Scrum, Kanban, etc.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance

Qualifications We Desire:

  • Familiarity with Sandia’s project management processes and requirements for IT projects

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in high visibility situations

  • Experience leading process improvement projects using Lean methodologies.

  • Lean Six Sigma education or certification

  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities

  • Experience with project and service management tools commonly used in IT teams such as Smart IT, Rally, Power BI, SharePoint, Confluence, collaboration tools, etc.

  • Experience leading multi-functional teams or projects

  • Ability to develop and grow business relationships and partnerships internal and external to Sandia.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete work in a fast-paced environment
