NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Salary Range:

$88,600 - $172,300 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate¿s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking an Information Systems Engineering Project Manager to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing project plans and schedules for milestones and initiatives within organization 5197 and interface with 5197 project leads, other FIE Project Managers, 5190 Managers, and staff to ensure that project plans and schedules are maintained.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Participate in project meetings to provide project management support and direction

  • Participate in FIE ISSM Council meetings to provide project management support and direction

  • Lead the 5197 Team Integration/Project Lead Meetings by collecting and managing statuses of milestones

  • Present project plans and schedules at FIE project management meetings, team meetings, and other venues as needed

  • Manage the FIE system/network repository containing all known systems, and artifacts to include ATO letters, and feed that information into the management assurance content

  • Lead preparation of monthly management assurance meeting

  • Lead weekly 5197 Weekly Tiered Accountability meetings

  • Serve as a department liaison/customer relations manager to internal customer base

  • Manage ITSM configurations (ensure all teams are in the tool, and manage user assignments to the teams)

  • Manage the 5197 Service Level Agreement (SLA) process

  • Manage the 5197 Project On-Boarding Process.

Qualifications We Require:

  • BBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems, other business concentrations, or technical discipline plus five or more years of experience;

  • or MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems, other business concentrations, or technical discipline.

  • Ability DOE Q security clearance

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE SCI Security Clearance that may require a polygraph test.

Qualifications We Desire:

Ideally, your background will include some of the following:

  • MBA with a concentration in Management Information Systems, other business concentrations, or technical discipline.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Cyber certifications (e.g. CISSP)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience leading projects and integrated teams

  • Active DOE Q or DOD TS security clearance

  • Active SCI Security Clearance.

The FIE Cyber Security Operations Department supports the Field Intelligence Element mission by delivering capabilities around information system hardening/accreditation, vulnerability assessment, risk management and forensics with a particular focus on mitigating cyber threats. The Cyber Security staff, consisting of Information Systems Security Managers (ISSMs), Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs), Alternate ISSOs (AISSOs), and Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSEs), provide effective technical solutions for DOE, DOD and the Intelligence Community.

Security Clearance:

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
