NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$65,300 - $125,400
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like:
The Nuclear Deterrence Transformation team is seeking an innovative and highly motivated individual to join the Nuclear Deterrence Transformation (NDT) team. This role will be responsible for supporting the development of meaningful improvements for ND product realization and quality management system processes. This includes working closely with NDT team leads, ND governance, Systems and component teams to advance ND’s technical processes, tools and design guides to enable consistent program execution across the ND portfolio. Additionally, this role will support Deputy Lab Director initiatives to address foundational challenges that affect ND programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to:
Utilize your experience to develop solutions to improve Sandia’s product realization process
Contribute to cross-weapons program projects
Interact and build working relationships with ND senior and executive leadership
Gain exposure to multiple areas of the ND mission space
Gain a breadth and depth of knowledge across the National Security Enterprise (NSE)
Support ND initiatives that have impact across Sandia and NSE
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Team with staff to develop solutions to improve Sandias product realization process, engineering approach, and culture.
Partner with senior and executive leadership to help drive effective engineering processes, tools, and guides for the product realization teams (PRTs).
Work with NDT team to manage and use information management systems or tools to collect and disseminate information, communications, and data to internal and external team members and customers.
Guide team on selection, configuration, and use of information management systems and integrated information management solutions.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Plus, five years or more years of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.
Equivalent experience in lieu of degree must be directly related experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
Active US DOE Q-level security clearance.

Security Clearance:
Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q security clearance to start, or equivalent active security clearance with another U.S. government agency (e.g., DOD).
