NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range:
$75,900 - $146,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like:
We are seeking an Information Systems Engineering Project Manager to provide operational and technical support for the delivery of a set of key strategic efforts to enable the successes of the Cyber Security program at Sandia. Are you passionate about identifying and engaging in the resolution of complex issues? Want to help plan, implement, and execute a Cyber Security program across Sandia while driving continuous improvement? If so, consider applying for this great opportunity.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Organize and support teams/projects that deliver on critical elements of the Cyber Security program
Support key Cyber Security principles, concepts, and processes while maintaining communication with the organization’s customers and partners
Work closely with Cyber Security management to craft future strategies and refine the vision for the program
Coordinate and deliver communication products that convey critical program elements to key partners and Senior Management
Document plans and controls to manage all the ongoing projects and initiatives for the enterprise Cyber Security program at Sandia
Collaborate with various teams and departments across Sandia in support of the Cyber Security program
This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Qualifications We Require:
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, Computer Science or related field
Proficiency in methodologies, processes, tools, and applications commonly used in information systems development and project management
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire:
Experience in one or more of the following:
Project management for projects associated with Cyber Security or Information Technology (IT)
Project management within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) or Sandia’s Nuclear Deterrence mission
Producing and managing strategic documents and activities
ITIL Foundations, Service Design, and Continual Service Improvement Certifications
Experience with analytics platforms such as Tableau
Willingness to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks
Good communication, team building, and conflict-resolutions skills
Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification or experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification
Active DOE Q clearance or DoD Top Secret clearance

Sandia's Cyber Security Program is responsible for the protection of Sandia's electronic information while enabling mission work. Our Cyber Security responsibilities include technology research and development of next generation cyber systems and technologies; including but not limited to areas such as encryption, authentication and authorization methodologies, intrusion detection, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, forensics, reverse engineering incident response, and remediation.
