Sandia National Laboratories Administrative Support, Global Security & Cooperation Center Business Office (Experienced) in Albuquerque, New Mexico


An opportunity exists for an administrative support staff to join the Global Protocol/Logistical Specialist Business Team, 10669. This organization is an integral part of Center 6800 Global Security and Cooperation and strives to improve the integration and consistent execution of event coordination business practices. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative event logistics and travel support for the numerous workshops, events, and seminars held by organizations within 6830.

On any given day you may be called upon to:

  • Event Logistics (including shipping, conference rooms, badging).
  • Provide administrative support, performing a wide range of projects and tasks and a variety of generalized business-related activities.
  • Producing training materials, presentations, etc., including working with interpreters and other international support contractors.
  • Sandia Delegated Buyer for international logistics and support contracts.
  • Completion and coordination of Foreign National Requests (FNRs).
  • Using a corporate vehicle to pick up/drop off visitors.


  • Requires high school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong teaming skills, with effective interpersonal and communication skills, close attention to details.
  • Ability to excel in a work environment that includes multiple competing priorities with firm deadlines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.


  • Experience working with International Travel/Travelers
  • Experience with hosting international visitors and providing meeting logistics support
  • Familiarity with the international procurement process

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
