NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs:

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

If so, you are the Administrative Support team member we seek in the Center 9300 for Cyber Security & Mission Computing!

We are seeking an Administrative Support Assistant to join our team and support a range of organizational and communication tasks in our center. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, use a proactive approach and use their ability to work closely with management, technical staff, and partners across Sandia in support of the center’s programs and initiatives.

Key pursuits and initiatives for the Cyber Security & Mission Computing Center 9300 include:

  • Technical Internships to Advance National Security (TITANS) and TITANS Software

  • TracerFIRE hands-on training program

  • Recruiting events

  • Strategic hiring and retention initiatives

  • Cyber residency and cyber rotation programs

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Have the ability and flexibility to work with a diverse group of staff, managers, and students

  • Organize intern events and tours, track institute successes, influence the program’s strategy, and work with other institutes across the Labs

  • Support hiring and onboarding initiatives at the Center level

  • Create and maintain project/team presentations

  • Generate reports, as well as gather, maintain, and monitor program quantitative and qualitative metrics and data

  • Collaborate/coordinate with other administrative/technical staff from internal and external organizations on various tasks, including facilitation of meetings

  • Use common office software to maintain Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Confluence sites with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive personal information

  • Assist in implementing and administering Sandia National Laboratories policies and programs and provide guidance, interpretation, and administrative assistance on a wide variety of procedures

  • Partner with Center 9300 management, business teams, and staff to support critical national security programs

  • Support Center management and business teams with data collection, aggregation, and analysis

  • Support Center agile teams

This position is eligible for part-time telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Also, this position requires the candidate to be onsite from May thru August during the summer internship program when students are on site.

This position may also require periodic travel.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) or more years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint, as well as other Microsoft Office Products

  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance

  • Desire to work with students and help them accomplish Sandia missions, grow their career, and team effectively across Sandia

  • Active DOE Q clearance

Security Clearance:
