We are seeking an Intern Year Round - Clerical Union Undergrad

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Prepare and edit documents
  • Order supplies
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Escort uncleared employees
  • Complete office filing and organization
  • Conduct record keeping
  • Complete interview and hiring logistics and administrative tasks
  • Assist with event planning

Required:

You bring the confidence and skills to be eligible for the job by meeting these minimum requirements:

  • Currently attending and enrolled full time in an accredited undergraduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0
  • Ability to work up to 25 hours per week during the academic year, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • U.S. citizenship

As a condition of employment, the selected candidate will be represented by the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU), which requires monthly membership dues or agency fees. New hires into an OPEIU represented position will remain in the initial position for twelve (12) months before being eligible to be considered for other Sandia employment.

Department Description:

The System Surety Engineering I department promotes surety engineering and design assurance principles and by applying preventive engineering approaches and tools to catch defects and their sources early so that customers can achieve cost and time effective product realization.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications.
