We are seeking a Environment, Safety, and Security Professional
The selected candidate will be responsible for Center Security audits, appraisals, self-assessments, improvement initiatives and management surveillances. This position requires interacting with all members of the workforce including the management team, staff, the ES&H and S&S support Subject Matter Experts and other Division 6000 Center ES&H/S&S Coordinators. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with data collection, report information, and presentation creation. They will assist the Division Coordinator with keeping their Centers informed of Corporate and customer ES&H/S&S policies, requirements, and activities. Additional support will be required to implement self-assessment processes, coordinating and participating on management surveillances , documenting completion of assessments, and tracking corrective actions completions. They will also be required to assist with coordinating/leading RCA teams, communicating lessons learned and compiling data/information that provides the status of the health of ES&H/S&S implementation within the Centers. They will assist the Division Coordinator with Physical and Cyber Security issues. The primary goal of this position is to support the Center Director and their mission by managing all S&S operational risks within their Centers.
The successful candidate must have: A bachelor’s degree in a security or relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience and training. Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to compile technical ES&H/S&S data and prepare briefings for all levels of management and staff. Experience with tracking performance metrics. Demonstrated a strong customer focus. A strong and current work history in S&S and with security programs/requirements. Must have a proven ability to work with all levels of members of the work force. Experience with and knowledge of self-assessment processes.
A current Department of Energy "L" security clearance is required to start.
A Masters degree in a Security or relevant discipline. Experience with Sandia security programs. TEDs training coordinator experience. Experience with AIS. A strong understanding of SNL security requirements. Experience with Root Cause Analysis. Experience with the OOPS/SIMP notification process. Experience with the risk management and human factors training. Knowledge and experience with Sandia's Integrated Safety/Security Management System. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
The ES&H, Quality Assurance and Security Management Department contributes to Division 6000 and its staff, management,and operations by providing the highest quality technical support and customer service in the areas of Environment, Safety & Health, and Safeguards & Security.
